Acupuncture role in cancer treatment.

Can acupuncture and herbs treat cancer?

I have just been diagnosed with colon cancer. I will need chemotherapy and radiation. Can acupuncture and herbs treat cancer?

There is no evidence that acupuncture and herbs can cure cancer. If an acupuncturist claims that he or she can cure cancer it must make you question his/her knowledge, education and professional integrity. But acupuncture can be very effective symptomatic therapy.

Acupuncture for chemotherapy side effects.

I get chemotherapy every three weeks and get very sick during that time. I can't eat and lose weight. My doctor recommended acupuncture. What can it do to help me?

As I mentioned several months ago, acupuncture is very effective for treating all kinds of nausea: seasickness, morning sickness and nausea as side effect of chemotherapy. The procedure is quite simple and, as usual, painless. Most importantly, it will help you to go through the chemotherapy protocol, which is essential in fighting cancer.

Acupressure bracelets for nausea.

Do the acupressure bracelets that they sell at the drugstores help with nausea?

I would not expect too mach from them. But it is worthy to try, considering it is not expensive and will do no harm.
