Question:
What is the best time of the day for acupuncture treatment?

Answer:
According to traditional Chinese medicine 24 hrs. day cycle is divided by 12 fragments (2 hrs. each) that correspond to the certain acupuncture channels or organs, functions. During these 2 hrs the channel is most "accessible" and it would be the best time to treat the disease. The time varies depending on diagnosis. For example, the best time to treat asthma is from 3 to 5 PM. Of course, we are all "pressed for time" and scheduling the appointments is usually the matter of limited choice. I am happy to announce that my new office at 141 Airport Road in Warwick can offer mach more flexibility in time for appointments.

Question:
Is acupuncture effective for substance abuse?

Answer:
Yes, it is. Acupuncture helps the body to synthesize endorphins (the most powerful painkillers) and other bioactive natural chemicals that help to cope with withdrawal syndrome. Acupuncture for treatment of substance abuse and addiction was approved by National Institute of Health and acupuncture is now the part of all advanced detox clinics.
