Low back pain.

To begin on the positive side, patients must understand that most episodes of back pain resolve, and usually within a few weeks. Unfortunately, low back pain can be among the most difficult and frustrating problems for traditional medicine to treat. My advice for people who are not finding relief is this: find an acupuncturist that you are comfortable and confident with, and work with him or her for at minimum several months. Second, you have to understand that back pain is often not a quick or easy fix.
You don't have to stop treatment with your physical therapist, physician, chiropractor, or other health professional to be treated by an acupuncturist. You will benefit the most from the integrative approach of medicine, and acupuncture may be a crucial element to increase your chances for recovery and good health. The choice of acupuncture technique is individually tailored to each patient. That's what makes the treatment successful.
Acupuncture needles are solid, very fine and flexible and the diameter of a thick hair. I use are prepackaged sterilized single use needles for your protection.
